From Monday it should be partly cloudy and cool to warm over the central and eastern parts of the country, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers possible by the afternoon. It will be cold in places in the eastern half of the Eastern Cape, according to the SA Weather Service. Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Monday: A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock, as well as localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges are expected over western and central parts of the North West, extreme north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape as well as the north-western parts of the Free State. B. level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to flooding of roads, settlements and low-lying areas, resulting in closure of some bridges and roads, as well as loss of agricultural production over the western parts of the North West. Regional forecasts from the SA Weather Service for Monday: GAUTENG Cloudy and cool to cold with scattered showers and thundershowers. The expected UVB sunburn index: Low MPUMALANGA Cloudy and cold with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the Lowveld, where it will be cool. LIMPOPO Warm in the extreme south-west, otherwise cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the Lowveld. 4. NORTH WEST PROVINCE Partly cloudy and warm in the extreme north-west where isolated showers are expected, otherwise cloudy and cool to cold with scattered showers and thundershowers. THE FREE STATE Partly cloudy and warm in the south-west, otherwise cloudy and cool to cold. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected BUT scattered north and east. THE NORTHERN CAPE Morning fog patches over the extreme southern parts where it will be cool in places, otherwise fine and warm to hot but partly cloudy with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south to south-easterly but strong from the afternoon. THE WESTERN CAPE Morning fog patches over the Karoo in the morning, otherwise fine and warm, but hot along the West Coast. It will be cool in places along the south coast. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south to south-easterly, but easterly along the south coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE Partly cloudy and cool but warm in places in the north where it will the fine. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly. THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE Cloudy and cool with a chance of light rain along the coast and adjacent interior, north of East London. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly. KWAZULU-NATAL Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool to cold with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the north-east.
