Partly cloudy along the coastal areas with isolated showers, otherwise fine and cool to warm on Friday, according to the SA Weather Service.

Very cold conditions with maximum temperatures of 10 degree Celsius and below are expected in places over the interior of the Western Cape and the Namakwa District of the Northern Cape until Friday.

Warnings from the SA Weather for Friday:

A. level 2 warning for damaging waves waves resulting in difficulty in navigation, small vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing within a locality and localised disruption to ports/ harbours is expected between Saldanha Bay and East London until Saturday morning.

B. level 2 warning for damaging winds resulting in localised damage to formal and informal settlements over the Kouga and Nelson Mandela Bay LMs as well as offshore between Plettenberg Bay and East London resulting in difficulty in navigation.

Fine and cool.

Fine and cool, but warm in the Lowveld and the Escarpment.

Fine and cool to warm.

4. NORTH-WEST PROVINCE
Fine and cool.

5. FREE STATE
Fine, windy and cold to cool.

6. NORTHERN CAPE
Cloudy in the south and south-west, otherwise fine and cold to cool with windy conditions in the extreme south-east. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming moderate southerly from the afternoon.

7. WESTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy in the north-east, otherwise cloudy and cold with light rain in the south-west, spreading along the south coast by the evening. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong west to north-westerly becoming light to moderate south-westerly north of Cape Point from the afternoon.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Fine and cool to cold, becoming partly cloudy in the south in the afternoon, but cloudy along the coast with isolated showers and rain. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly by the afternoon.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Fine and cool to cold. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly in the south, becoming south-westerly in the afternoon, otherwise moderate south-westerly.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL
Partly cloudy in the south until mid-morning, otherwise fine and cool to warm but cold in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly, reaching fresh to strong in the north. It will become moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly in the south late morning, spreading north from the afternoon.
