Snow falls in Gauteng, Free State after SA wins the Rugby World Cup final28 October 2023 [updated 30 October]By Staff Writer
Snow started falling at the top of Sani Pass on the border between South Africa and Lesotho just before 3:30 on Saturday 28 October, as South Africans wait in anticipation for the start of the Rugby World Cup final between the Springboks and the New Zealand All Blacks. The snowfall arrived after a number of warnings issued by South African Weather Service (SAWS). Snow continued to fall overnight and South Africans in some areas awoke to a dusting on Sunday morning after an exciting night of rugby that resulting in the country winning the 2023 Rugby World Cup final. On Monday morning SnowReportSA received a video of snow in Meyerton, Gauteng as well as Mpupalanga and Harrismith. The latest weather forecast including the warnings is available HERE.
