Snow Surprise! The first snow of the season on the Swartberg mountains outside Oudtshoorn

A light dusting of snow was photographed on the Swartberg range outside Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape this morning by Craig, who is a regular contributor to Snow Report.

The snow was not expected but Snow Report Southern Africa would like to remind everyone that there are historical records of snow falling in every month of the year in South Africa.

In 2024 we put out our first snow forecast of the season on the 6th of April and we have seen snowfalls every April for the last few years.
