Partly cloudy and cold to cool with isolated showers along the south-west coast on Wednesday. The SA Weather Service have issued an advisory for very cold, wet and windy conditions in the Namakwa district (Northern Cape), Witzenberg, Breede Valley and Koue Bokkeveld in Western Cape Province for Friday. ALSO READ: Light low-level snowfall possible on Friday in the Western Cape. Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Wednesday: A. level 1 warning for damaging winds leading to localised difficulty in navigation of small vessels and disruption of small harbours and ports along the north coast of KZN between Kosi Bay and Richards Bay. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Kareeberg local municipality of the Northern Cape. Regional forecasts from the SA Weather Service for Wednesday: 1. NORTHERN CAPE Fine, windy and cold to cool, but warm along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly. 7. WESTERN CAPE Fine and cool, but partly cloudy and cold with isolated showers and rain in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly, but fresh north-westerly along the south-west coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Low 8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE Fine and cool to warm. It will be windy in places over the interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly. 9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE Cold over the high-lying areas, otherwise fine and cool to warm. It will be windy in places over the western interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly. 10. KWAZULU-NATAL Fine and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong northerly to north-easterly.
