Partly cloudy conditions can be expected over the north eastern, southern and eastern parts of the country, with isolated rain and showers expected in the southern and eastern regions. Otherwise, fine and cold to very cold, but cool in places the north on Monday.

Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Monday:

A. level 2 warning for damaging waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea between Cape Agulhas and Plettenberg Bay in the morning.

B. level 2 warning for damaging winds and waves resulting in small vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing in a locality, difficulty in navigation and dragging anchors are possible between Plettenberg Bay and Kei Mouth.

Regional forecasts from the SA Weather Service for Monday:

1. GAUTENG
Fine and cold to cool with morning fog in the extreme south.
The expected UVB sunburn index: High

2. MPUMALANGA
Morning fog patches in the south-west, otherwise fine and cold to cool but partly cloudy in the escarpment and Lowveld with drizzle.

3. LIMPOPO
Fine and cool, but partly cloudy in the escarpment and Lowveld with drizzle.

4. NORTH WEST PROVINCE
Fine and cold, but cool in the extreme east.

5. FREE STATE
Fine and cold, but partly cloudy along Lesotho border.

6. NORTHERN CAPE
Partly cloudy in the west with morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and cool to cold, but very cold in the south. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly.

7. WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy with rain over the south-western parts in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cold, becoming fine over the eastern parts from the afternoon as well as the rest of the province in the evening. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to south-westerly, reaching fresh to strong along the south coast.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and cold with isolated showers along the coast. The wind along the coast will be strong westerly, becoming a light to moderate westerly in the afternoon.

9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and cold, but very cold in the north. The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly, becoming a light to moderate south-westerly in the afternoon.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool but cold in the south-west. Isolated showers and rain are expected in the east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.
