The latest forecast is available by clicking here. From Wednesday it should be partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot in places, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers. Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Wednesday: A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in heavy downpours, damaging winds and hail leading to localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock, localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, minor vehicle accidents,localised injuries due to flying debris over the Highveld of Mpumalanga and the central part of Limpopo as well as the north western parts of KwaZulu-Natal. B. level 1 warning for damaging winds leading to difficulty in navigation at sea and small vessels at risk of taking in water and capsizing in locality between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas from the evening until Friday afternoon. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the Northern Cape. The expected UVB sunburn index: Low MPUMALANGA Morning patches in places in the Highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the Lowveld. LIMPOPO Partly cloudy in the south-west, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers. NORTH-WEST Partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme east. THE FREE STATE Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme east. THE NORTHERN CAPE Cloudy in the west with fog patches in the morning where it will become fine, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north-east. It will be cool in the extreme north-west. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly. THE WESTERN CAPE Cloudy with fog patches in the north-western parts in the morning, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and warm to hot but cloudy and cool over the southern parts with light evening rain. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly, but fresh to strong along the west coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Extreme THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE Fine and warm, but cool along the coast, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the morning, otherwise moderate south-easterly to easterly. THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE Cloudy with morning fog in places in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be light westerly, becoming light to moderate south-easterly. KWAZULU-NATAL Morning and evening fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and cool to warm. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected in the west, otherwise isolated except in the extreme north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly, becoming light south-easterly in the south in the afternoon.
