Morning fog patches are likely in a few parts of the country on Friday.
It will be hot in the interior but milder on the coast.
Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Friday:
A. level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms over parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the east of the Free State, as per the updated map.
B. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms with localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, large amounts of small hail expected over vast parts of the Free State, North West, Gauteng, parts of Mpumalanga, extreme south-western parts of Limpopo, the extreme north-eastern parts of Northern Cape, parts of KwaZulu-Natal and parts of the Eastern Cape as per the map.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over most parts of Northern Cape.

GAUTENG
Cloudy in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.
MPUMALANGA
Cloudy with morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated to scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers over the Highveld.
LIMPOPO
Cloudy with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.
NORTH-WEST
Partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers.
THE FREE STATE
Morning fog patches over the eastern parts, otherwise cloudy, windy and warm to hot, with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers, but isolated over the western parts.
THE NORTHERN CAPE
Morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise fine and hot to very hot, but partly cloudy and windy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly.
THE WESTERN CAPE
Morning fog patches in the extreme south-east, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will be partly cloudy in the east. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.
