Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the southern, central and eastern parts of the country with isolated showers along the east coast by Friday.

Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Wednesday:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, Free State, North West, the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the central and eastern parts of Limpopo as well as the northern and western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

GAUTENG
Fine and warm to hot.
The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High

MPUMALANGA
Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot in places in the lowveld.

LIMPOPO
Morning fog in places over the Lowveld and the Limpopo Valley where it is expected to be hot to very hot in the afternoon, otherwise fine and warm.

NORTH WEST
Fine and warm to hot.

THE FREE STATE
Fine, windy and warm to hot.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Morning fog patches along the coast and adjacent interior Where it Will be cool, otherwise fine, windy and warm to hot. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south to south-easterly.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Morning fog patches in places, otherwise fine and cool, but warm in places along the West Coast and adjacent interior.
The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong west to north-westerly, but light to moderate westerly to south-westerly from Cape Point to Plattenberg Bay.
The expected UVB sunburn index: Moderate

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and cool along the coast with light morning rain between Plettenberg Bay and Jeffreys Bay, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and cool along the coast, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning fog in the extreme north-east, otherwise fine and warm to hot. It will become partly cloudy along the coast with isolated showers and rain along the coast between Durban and Mtubatuba. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly north of Durban in the morning, otherwise fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly spreading to Kosi Bay in the afternoon.
