Partly cloudy and warm to cool with isolated showers and thundershowers possible, but they will be scattered over the central and eastern parts of the country on Saturday.

Hot and humid weather can be expected along the coast and adjacent interior of KwaZulu-Natal, and fog patches can be expected in the morning in some parts of the country.

From Sunday it should be cloudy and cool in the east, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers possible over the central and eastern parts of the country but widespread over northern KZN with a possibility of disruptive rain including flooding.

Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Saturday:

A. level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to flooding of low-lying areas, susceptible roads and bridges as well as strong damaging winds and hail, resulting in damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock over the north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

B. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to localised flooding of low-lying areas, susceptible roads and bridges as well as strong damaging winds and hail, resulting in localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock over the north-eastern parts Northern Cape, central parts and eastern parts of Free State as well as in places over KwaZulu-Natal, except in the north-east.

C. level 1 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to localised flooding of low-lying areas, susceptible roads and bridges as well as strong damaging winds and hail, resulting in localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock over the eastern parts of Eastern Cape.

GAUTENG
Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

MPUMALANGA
Morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers.

LIMPOPO
Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered over the escarpment where morning fog patches are expected. It will be hot over the Lowveld.

NORTH-WEST
Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west.

THE FREE STATE
Cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the north-east.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Fine in the extreme west with morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in east where it will be cloudy. It will be cool in the extreme south-west. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly, becoming fresh south-westerly in the north from the afternoon.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy over the western parts in the morning with light early morning rain in the south-west, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but fine over the central and eastern interior. The wind along the coast will be Light north-westerly along the south-west coast in the morning, otherwise light to moderate south-westerly to westerly but fresh to strong in places along the south coast.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cool in places along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in south-west. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise cloudy and warm to hot with scattered showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong northerly to north-easterly, becoming southerly to south-westerly south of Durban in the afternoon, spreading north.
