Fog patches can be expected in the morning or evening in a number of regions across the country on Wednesday.
Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Wednesday:
A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihoods and livestock over the central and south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape, as well as over the north-western, central, and south-eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Ubuntu local municipality of Northern Cape, as well as the Central and Little Karoo district municipalities of the Western Cape (except for the Oudtshoorn local municipality).

GAUTENG
Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south where it will be cloudy and cool in places.
MPUMALANGA
Cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated over the Lowveld where it will become partly cloudy in the afternoon.
LIMPOPO
Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.
NORTH-WEST
Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the extreme north-east.
THE FREE STATE
Morning fog patches in the east, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers.
THE NORTHERN CAPE
Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm to hot, with widespread showers and thundershowers over the central and eastern parts, but scattered over the extreme north-east. It will become fine along the coast and western interior by late morning. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly becoming moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly in the afternoon.
THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy at first with light morning rain in places along the south-west coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, becoming fine over the central and western interior where it will be hot in places. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected over the extreme north-east in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly to south-westerly along the south coast, otherwise moderate to fresh north-westerly, reaching strong along the south-west coast in the morning.
THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy in places, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from mid-morning.
THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Morning fog in places south of the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and hot with scattered showers and thundershowers, but cloudy and cool to warm in the north. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, reaching strong in places. It will become fresh to strong south-westerly from the south in the evening.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning and evening fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the west. The wind along the coast will be light southerly to south-westerly in the north until late morning, otherwise light to moderate northerly to north-easterly, reaching fresh in places in the afternoon.
