SATURDAY WEATHER: Thunderstorms or rain and a warning for KZN as cut-off low exits the country

As the cut-off low-pressure system exits along the south-eastern coastline, a surface high-pressure system is expected to ridge across the central and eastern parts of the country this weekend according to the SA Weather Service.
This weather pattern is likely to bring partly cloudy to cool conditions across many areas with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers expected over the central and eastern interior of the country.
Warnings from the SA Weather Service from Saturday:
A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours, lightning, damaging winds and large amounts of small hail resulting in localised flooding and damage to infrastructure and settlements are expected over the eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

GAUTENG
Morning fog patches over the eastern part, otherwise fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers and rain.
MPUMALANGA
Morning fog patches over the Highveld, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to cold with isolated showers and rain in the west. It will be warm in places in the Lowveld.
LIMPOPO
Morning fog patches over the western and central parts, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and rain.
NORTH WEST
Partly cloudy and cool, with isolated showers and thundershowers.
THE FREE STATE
Partly cloudy and cold to cool, with isolated showers and thundershowers.
THE NORTHERN CAPE
Cloudy in the morning with fog in places over the west and the southern, otherwise fine and cool to cold, but partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the central and eastern parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southeasterly.
THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy in the morning with fog in places over the western and central parts, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and cool to warm but cold in the north-eastern parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southeasterly but moderate westerly to south-westerly along the south coast, where it will become light and variable in the afternoon.
THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cool in places along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cold with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north and east of Port Elizabeth. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly.
THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cool in places along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cold with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the extreme west. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southwesterly.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Fine at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm. It will become cloudy from the south in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the east except the north-east. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly to north-westerly in the north, otherwise light to moderate southerly to south-westerly, spreading northwards from late morning.
