Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Thursday:

A. level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to strong damaging winds, hail, excessive lightning and possible heavy downpours leading to flooding and damages to susceptible formal/informal settlements and infrastructure in the North-West province.

B. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, as well as localised damage to infrastructure and settlements (informal) in Gauteng, eastern parts of Northern Cape and in Limpopo except in the south-eastern parts.

C. level 2 warning for damaging winds and waves leading to disruption of ports/small harbours activities for a short period of time and difficulty in navigation at sea between Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay in the morning.

D. level 1 warning for damaging waves leading to localised disruption of port/small harbours activities for a short period of time and difficulty in navigation at sea as well as disruption to beachfront activities between Oyster Bay and Algoa Bayin the morning.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy in the morning, otherwise fine and cool. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy with light rain along Wild coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to cold with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north and extreme east. The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly in the morning, becoming fresh to strong north-easterly from late morning.

KWAZULU-NATAL
