A cold front is passing through the country and resulting in strong to gale force westerly/south-westerly winds of 60 - 70km/h along the Eastern Cape coast and adjacent interior, while a strong westerly/south-westerly gale wind of 70 - 80km/h is expected over the ocean. These winds will be accompanied by gusts of about 85 - 95km/h, moderating from the evening. ALSO READ: More snowfall possible for Lesotho and South Africa this week. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the Highveld of Mpumalanga, extreme eastern parts of KwaZulu Natal as well as the southern parts of both Gauteng and Limpopo.
