A heat wave with persistently high temperatures continues over the Richtersveld local municipality in the Northern Cape and Matzikama local municipality in the Western Cape until Wednesday. Very hot and uncomfortable conditions are expected over the West Coast district in the Western Cape and Kamiesberg local municipality Northern Cape until Wednesday. From Thursday isolated showers and thundershowers are possible over the south-western parts of South Africa, otherwise fine and warm to cool. Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Wednesday: Extreme high fire danger conditions are expected over the western parts of the Northern Cape, north-east and extreme north-western parts of Western Cape as well as the extreme western parts of Eastern Cape.
