Warnings from the SA Weather Service:

A. level 2 warning for damaging winds resulting in localised damage to settlements, difficult driving conditions and localised problems for high sided vehicles is expected in places over Joe Gqabi AND Chris Hani district municipalities, Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, as well as Kouga, Ndlambe and Ngqushwa local municipalities in the Eastern Cape.

B. level 2 warning for damaging wind and waves resulting in localised disruptions to beachfront activities and difficulty in navigation is expected between Plettenberg Bay and Port Alfred from mid-morning, spreading to Kosi Bay in the evening.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the extreme west of Free State, extreme east of Northern Cape, as well as over Chris Hani and Joe Gqabi discrict municipalities in the Eastern Cape.

THE FREE STATE
Fine, windy and cool to warm.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Partly cloudy in the south-west in the morning where it will be cold, otherwise fine and cool to warm. It will be windy in the extreme east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, becoming strong in the evening.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy with morning mist in places over the southern parts, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool. Light rain is expected over the south-western parts in the evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly, but moderate north-westerly in the morning.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy with morning fog in places in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but warm in the north-east. Light rain can be expected in places along the coast west of Gqeberha at night. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly in the early morning, otherwise fresh to strong south-westerly, reaching gale force in places.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Morning fog in places south of the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, but windy in places. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from mid-morning.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly in the east from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from the south in the afternoon, spreading northwards.
