Very cold, wet and windy conditions can be expected over southern Namakwa (Northern Cape) as well as in places over the Cape Winelands, Central Karoo and Little Karoo (Western Cape) districts from Wednesday until Friday according to the SA Weather Service.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cool to cold but very cold over the central mountainous areas, with isolated showers and rain, but scattered along the south-west and south coast. Clearing in the west from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, reaching strong along the west and south-west coast from the afternoon.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cold with widespread showers and rain, but scattered to isolated in the north-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming light south-easterly in the evening.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and cool, but cold in the south-west, becoming cloudy with scattered showers and rain south of the escarpment, otherwise isolated but widespread in the south-west from afternoon. No rain is expected over Walter Sisulu and Senqu LMs (extreme north-western parts). The wind along the coast will be strong south-westerly, becoming light southerly by evening.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot in places in the north-east. It will become cloudy in the evening with isolated showers and rain except in the extreme north-west. The wind along the coast will be moderate northerly in the extreme north at first, otherwise light to moderate southerly to south-westerly, reaching fresh to strong in places from the afternoon.
