From Wednesday it should be partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the south-east on Thursday.

A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock, localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, and minor vehicle accidents over the southern and eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, southern and central parts of Gauteng, eastern parts of Free State and along the Lesotho Border as well as the extreme eastern parts of North West.

MPUMALANGA
Fine in the Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in extreme south. No rain is expected in the Lowveld.

LIMPOPO
Fine to partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south-west and southern parts.

NORTH WEST
Partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the extreme north-west.

THE FREE STATE
Partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the south-west.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Cloudy with a chance of morning light rain in places in the west, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cool with a chance of evening light rain in places in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly but light and variable along the south coast.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy in places in the south-east in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming light to moderate south-westerly in the afternoon, but light and variable in the evening.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cold in places in the north, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the eastern parts. The wind along the coast will be light and variable at first, otherwise light to moderate easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly but light to moderate southerly to south-westerly in the extreme south, spreading to Mtunzini by the evening.
