Partly cloudy with morning drizzle in the north-east, otherwise fine and cool to warm on Thursday according to the SA Weather Service.

A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the Richtersveld Municipality of the Northern Cape until Friday.

Warnings from the SAWS for Thursday:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the extreme western parts of the Northern Cape as well as in places in the northern parts of Western Cape.

Morning fog along the south and south-west coast, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in places over the West Coast. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to north-easterly but strong south-easterly in the south-west, moderating by afternoon.

8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Morning fog in places along the coast, otherwise fine and warm. The wind along the coast will be light northerly, but easterly during the afternoon.

Fine and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be Light and variable in places in the south, otherwise light to moderate north-easterly.

10. KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning fog over the northern interior, otherwise fine and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly in the north until mid-day, otherwise moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly.
