A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected across the Eastern Cape (except Joe Gqabi and Amathole Districts) until Monday.
Morning or evening fog can be expected in a number of areas around the country on Saturday.
Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Saturday:
A. level 4 warning for disruptive rain leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads, settlements, and low-lying areas/bridges over the Lowveld and escarpment of Limpopo and north-eastern parts of Mpumalanga.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Kamiesberg Municipality of theNorthern Cape, in places over the West Coast District, and the Drakenstein Municipality of the Western Cape.

GAUTENG
Cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers in the afternoon.
MPUMALANGA
Morning fog over the Highveld and escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the north-east.
LIMPOPO
Morning fog patches along the southern escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the east.
NORTH-WEST
Partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the east.
THE FREE STATE
Partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.
THE NORTHERN CAPE
Morning fog along the west coast where it will be warm, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers over the eastern and central parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.
THE WESTERN CAPE
Fine in the extreme western parts, where it will be very hot, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with chances of light rain over the south coast in the afternoon. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected over the Central Karoo from the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly to easterly but strong along the south-west.
THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Morning fog along the coast where it will be cloudy, otherwise partly cloudy and hot with isolated thundershowers but warm with isolated showers and rain over the eastern and central parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming south-easterly west of Cape St Francis in the afternoon.
THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Morning fog along the coast where it will be cloudy, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly south of Mazeppa Bay, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning and evening fog over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm. It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh in the afternoon.
