From Friday it should be partly cloudy and cool conditions are expected, with isolated showers and thundershowers over the central and eastern parts of South Africa. It will be warm in places over the northern areas of the country.

GAUTENG
Partly cloudy in the extreme southwest, otherwise fine and cool but warm in places.

MPUMALANGA
Morning fog along the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm but hot in Lowveld.

LIMPOPO
Morning fog in the west, otherwise fine and warm.

NORTH-WEST
Fine, becoming partly cloudy and cool to warm. It will be windy in the west.

THE FREE STATE
Fine, becoming partly cloudy and cool, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the southern and western parts, where it will be windy.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Morning fog along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm but cold in places, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the far east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy over the northern parts with fog patches in the morning, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and cold to cool. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly but easterly along the south coast.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy with fog in places over interior in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool. It will become cloudy with isolated showers and rain in places along the coast from the evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy with fog in places south of escarpment at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Partly cloudy with morning fog patches in the east, otherwise fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the south by the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the south by the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly.
