From Sunday it should be fine in the western and central interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot in places, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in the east. Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Saturday: A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms over KwaZulu-Natal (except the extreme northern parts) resulting in localised damage to infrastructure and settlements, localised flooding of susceptible roads and bridges as well as minor motor vehicle accidents due to slippery roads and poor visibility. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over parts of the Lowveld of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, the western parts of the North West and Free State as well as the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape. Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Sunday: A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms over parts of KwaZulu-Natal, as per the map below. Regional forecasts from the SA Weather Service for Saturday: GAUTENG Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the south. The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High MPUMALANGA Fine over the northern Lowveld, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the southern Highveld. LIMPOPO Fine and warm to hot becoming partly cloudy in the south in the afternoon. NORTH WEST Partly cloudy, windy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west. THE FREE STATE Partly cloudy, windy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme south-west. THE WESTERN CAPE Morning fog in the north-western parts where it will be fine in the afternoon, otherwsie cloudy to partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers along the south coast and north-eastern interior. It will be cold in places om the southern parts, otherwise cool. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly, but fresh to strong along the west and south-west coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly. THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE Cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers, but widespread in the east. The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly, but south-easterly from the evening. KWAZULU-NATAL Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise partly to cloudy and warm but cool in the south. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the extreme north, otherwise scattered. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-easterly, becoming light to moderate southerly to south-westerly from the afternoon.
