Warnings from the SA Weather Service:

A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms resulting in localised damage to settlements, livestock and temporary structures as well as localised disruption to communication and power supply in places over western and central parts of the Eastern Cape.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over eastern and central parts of Northern Cape, in places over the Eastern Cape as well as the southern and central parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

GAUTENG
Fine in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers can be expected in the extreme south in the afternoon.

MPUMALANGA
Morning fog patches over the northern escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme south-west.

LIMPOPO
Partly cloudy and warm to hot, but very hot in places in the south.

NORTH-WEST
Partly cloudy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the east.

THE FREE STATE
Partly cloudy and warm to hot with scattered showers and thundershowers.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Fine along the coast where it will be cool, otherwise partly cloudy, windy and warm to hot. Isolated showers and thundershowers can be expected in the east and central parts but scattered in the south-east. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy in the east with isolated thunderstorms in the extreme north-east, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot to very hot over the northern interior. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly becoming north-easterly east of Cape Agulhas by the afternoon.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy with morning fog in places in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south-east. It will be very hot and windy in places over the interior. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly in the west from mid-morning, spreading east, reaching strong in places in the afternoon.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Early morning fog in places along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with scattered showers and thundershowers. It will be windy in places over the northern and western interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, but fresh to strong north of Coffee Bay, spreading south in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning fog patches in places, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in places in the east where it will be fine. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected but scattered in the south-west. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly.
