Warnings from the SA Weather Service:

A. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail and lightning are expected over the north-western parts of KwaZulu-Natal as well as the Highveld of Mpumalanga resulting in localised flooding and localised damage to infrastructure and settlements resulting in localised flooding and localised damage to infrastructure and settlements

Extremely high fire danger is expected in places over Limpopo as well as over parts of Northern Cape, and the western parts of Free State.

GAUTENG
Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

MPUMALANGA
Partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld where it will be hot in places. There will be morning fog patches in the east.

LIMPOPO
Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south. It will be very hot in places.

NORTH-WEST
Fine becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.

THE FREE STATE
Fine becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Fine in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and warm hot with isolated showers and thundershowers. It will be hot over the extreme north-east, otherwise fine and warm, but cool along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south to south-easterly, but strong at times during the afternoon.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Cloudy over Overberg District in the morning, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot over the north-western parts and eastern interior. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly becoming fresh in the afternoon.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cool with morning and evening fog in places in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north. The wind along the coast will be light and variable in places early morning, otherwise light to moderate north-easterly, but moderate to fresh south-easterly in places during the afternoon.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy and cool with morning fog and drizzle in places south of the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the north. The wind along the coast will be Light and variable early morning, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
