Hot and humid weather can be expected along the Western Cape's south coast and adjacent interior, as well as the eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday.

Warnings from the SA Weather Service for Tuesday:

A. level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms for parts of the Northern Cape and the Free State, as per the updated map.

B. level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to localised flooding and large amounts of small hail is expected over the north eastern parts of Northern Cape, western parts of the North West and Free State, the southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, parts of the Western Cape, as well as the Eastern Cape except in the south-west.

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over ZF Mgcawu District Municipality in the Northern Cape as well as Jozini, Nongoma, Big SHlabisa and Mtubatuba Local Municipalities in the KwaZulu-Natal.

GAUTENG
Partly cloudy and warm but hot in the north.

MPUMALANGA
Cloudy with drizzle along the escarpment in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but hot in places in the Lowveld.

LIMPOPO
Cloudy with drizzle along the southern escarpment in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but hot in the Lowveld and souht-west.

NORTH-WEST
Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers except in the far east.

THE FREE STATE
Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east otherwise scattered.

THE NORTHERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east, but fine in the north-west. The wind along the coast will be Light and variable, becoming moderate south-westerly from the afternoon.

THE WESTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the west. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Partly cloudy and warm with isolated thundershowers over interior, but scattered in the north. The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the morning and evening, otherwise moderate south-easterly.

THE EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE
Cloudy at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL
Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in places in the north-east. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected in the south, otherwise isolated except in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-easterly, reaching fresh in places in the afternoon.
