SnowReportSA is changing into Snow Report Southern Africa

After many years of operating as SnowReportSA (or simply Snow Report to many people), we will be renaming the brand to Snow Report Southern Africa in order to more accurately represent the other countries in the region that get snow.

From time to time we publish photos of snow in Namibia, but far more regularly we are sent photos by Lesotho locals who have a love for their wonderful country, and this was the primary reason for the name change.

For those that are not from the region, Lesotho is the small mountain kingdom situated completely inside South Africa, and it gets plenty of snow every year due to its high elavation (its lowest point is 1400m above sea level).

Snow Report has always been a significant source of tourism for Lesotho and as we have a special fondness for the country, we go out of our way to highlight it as much as we can despite the very limited resources we have available.

We hope that the people of Lesotho will see this change as a sign of respect for them and their wonderful country, and will send us more photos like the one below so that we can give people a reason to visit whether there is snow or not.

Please note that the name change will take some time to fully implement, so if you browse some pages on our website they may still reflect the old name (news is, after all, a matter of record at the time).

Please email ads@snowreport.co.za if you would like to discuss sponsorship and branding opportunities with us as one of the region's most loved media channels.
