More snowfall for Lesotho and South Africa to start the week including Sani Pass

Snowfall is indicated for Lesotho and KwaZulu-Natal from early Monday and possibly into early Tuesday this week, and there is a small chance of light snow for the Free State high-ground.

In Lesotho snowfall is indicated for much of the higher ground including between Afriski and Sani Pass, Semonkong and the south-west. Over 10cm of snowfall is possible in the east of Lesotho, as marked in purple on the map.

On Monday morning we posted photos and videos from Kotisephola Pass (Black Mountain) and the top of Sani Pass in Lesotho.

In KwaZulu-Natal light snowfall has already fallen at higher elevations in the Southern Drakensberg and on Sani Pass and more is possible across much of the Drakensberg.

In the Free State the high ground around Phuthaditjhaba and Witsieshoek is on the radar for possible snowfall.

The areas marked in purple on the map are indicated for Monday afternoon.
