Snow possible in three South African provinces from this weekend

Snowfall is possible from late Sunday evening through to Tuesday as per the map.

Note the zoomed-in maps at the bottom of this page that show more detail.

Snow is currently indicated in the Western Cape high-ground around Beaufort West and Murraysburg, as well as on the peaks around Paarl, Franschhoek, Worcester, Wellington, Ceres and De Doorns.

Light snow is also indicated around Sutherland and other areas marked on the maps in the Northern Cape.

In the Eastern Cape very light snow is currently indicated on the high ground around places such Middelburg, Nieu-Bethesda, Graaff-Reinet, Cradock, Queenstown and Hogsback.
