Snowfall possible in Lesotho on Thursday and FridayBy Staff WriterPublished: 22 April 2026 This forecast covers: Thu 23 Apr – Fri 24 Apr
Light snowfall is indicated in Lesotho from late Thursday and into Friday. Up to 5cm of total snowfall is possible on the high-ground and high mountain passes in Lesotho around Afriski, Sani Pass and Semonkong as per the map. No snow is expected on Sani Pass itself at this stage. This would be the first snowfall of the season for Lesotho, but snow fell at Matroosberg Reserve and on the Hex River mountains in the Western Cape last weekend. SEE ALSO: Snow fell in the Western Cape as expected. Click here for photos. The map indicates where we are seeing the possibility of snow, but it may not fall in all of the areas shown on the map. As with any forecast of any kind (temperature, clouds, rain, wind), what eventually happens may or may not be similar to the forecast. Snow indicated may reduce or vanish completely in some areas, or the dates and times may change. Follow our channels
