Snow covers parts of South Africa and Lesotho

Snow fell over parts of South Africa and Lesotho yesterday, with the heaviest falls being in the Eastern Cape around the Barkly East area. The snow was still visible this morning in some areas.

Tiffindell Ski Resort received the heaviest snowfall, with about 10cm settling on the ground by the late afternoon.

Sani Pass in KZN received a light dusting of snow along with the Southern Drakensberg near Underberg.

There's still some snow on the ground this morning, as you can see from the webcams at Tiffindell Ski Resort, Sani Pass in KwaZulu-Natal and Barkly Pass in the Eastern Cape.
