Snowfall possible for Lesotho but not for South Africa anymore2 October 2024 [updated 8 October]By Staff Writer
This forecast will be updated regularly. More snowfall is possible for Lesotho from from Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday, as per the map, with heavy snowfall NO LONGER indicated as per the previous advance forecast. NO SNOW is currently indicated for the N3, the R74 and other roads around Van Reenen and some of the places that saw heavy and highly disruptive snowfall recently anymore as the data has changed significantly in the last 24 hours. Snow is NO LONGER indicated for Mpumalanga, the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal or the Eastern Cape as it was in the forecast posted on Wednesday. Snowfall for Lesotho is still indicated, but it is likely to be just the lightest dusting on the high peaks marked on the map. Note that this advance forecast may still change. It may reduce or vanish completely in some areas, or the timing may change. ALSO READ: Be prepared for safe winter travel and snow chasing trips. The map indicates where we are seeing the possibility of snow, but it may not fall in all of the areas shown on the map. As with any forecast of any kind (temperature, clouds, rain, wind), what eventually happens may or may not be similar to the forecast. Follow our channels
