Snowfall is expected on the high-peaks in the Western Cape from today as temperatures drop below zero in many parts of the country.

We're also seeing a slight possibility of some very light snow in the north and south of Lesotho, and the Swartberg range between Oudtshoorn and Prince Albert may also get a light dusting. The high-ground around Sutherland in the Northern Cape may also be on the snow radar.

The Hex River mountains between Ceres, Worcester, De Doorns and Touws River, as well as the highest peaks in the Koue Bokkeveld and Cederberg are likely to get up to 10cm of snow.

The highest peaks in this area may see up to 15cm of snow though, according to the latest data.

No low-level snow that is accessible by normal vehicles is expected anywhere.
