Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho

Why go abroad when you can ski, snowboard, bumboard and tube in African snow just a few hours drive from Johannesburg in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.

While Lesotho generally gets a number of snowfalls through the winter, Afriski has snowmaking facilities like many ski resorts around the world so you get to enjoy the slopes throughout the ski season (which is between June and August).

Afriski offers accommodation and ski packages, as well as options for day visitors and a popular restaurant provides hearty meals after a fun day on the slopes.

Ski lessons are available for adults and kids, as well as equipment rentals.

The resort also hosts a number of events through the season such as the legendary Winterfest and Snow & Rock.
