  • Light flurries possible over high peaks of Western Cape and isolated spots of N Cape, starting 25th Sept, Monday afternoon

Snow Forecast : 8th/9th October 2016

Surprise! We are seeing some possible snowfalls for this afternoon and this evening over the WC high peaks as depicted on the map. Then as the system moves east, we could see a couple of isolated flurries in the EC tonight, as shown on the map (west of Graaff-Reinet). On Sunday, we are seeing snow falls in Lesotho, and by Sunday evening, there should be falls on the EC Drakensberg, the KZN Drakensberg and in Lesotho. These falls could continue into the early hours of Monday morning. All falls are expected to be light (KZN Drakensberg could get up to 6cm on extreme high peaks), and no low level snow is expected. 08-09oct
