  • Light flurries possible over high peaks of Western Cape and isolated spots of Eastern Cape, starting 25th Sept extending into Tuesday morning, Monday mid-morning

Snow Forecast – 25 July, W Cape

As mentioned yesterday, the cold front that is due to hit the WC tomorrow has veered south, and as such, we are expecting very little snow now. The front is still due to arrive before midday, with the first snowfalls possible almost immediately over the high peaks around Wellington. A maximum of 5cm is now expected over these peaks. There may also be a couple of flurries to the east over the Swartberg on Tuesday night. Tuesday night and Wednesday will be nice and cold in these areas, with the freezing level dropping down to 1,500m over the coastal areas. We will update tomorrow morning if there are any further changes.
