The models are starting to converge, and the front that we intimated at yesterday for the Western Cape is looking very likely at this stage. It looks like the front will hit on Saturday morning, with some very cold weather, heavy rain and snow expected. Freezing levels could go as low as 1,500m in places, making the conditions for snow quite ideal. It is still a bit early to produce the snow maps accurately, and we are also seeing the possibility of snow in the EC early next week. We should be in a position to produce the snow maps by Thursday this week.
