25 April – Snow on High Mountains Peaks of W Cape Expected Overnight

We are expecting a sharp drop in temperatures over the western parts of the Western Cape later this afternoon, and light snow will be possible on the mountain peaks with an elevation of 1900m and above, tonight. The Matroosberg peak could see as much as 10cm and other lower lying peaks are likely to just get a few centimeters. We are hoping to see the dusting tomorrow morning, but with the high ground temperatures, we are expecting quite a quick melt. We are not expecting any low level snow, with all snow being confined to the high peaks.
